UK CFOs optimistic about AI

A Deloitte survey of 58 UK CFOs conducted July 1-13, 2026, shows 73% are optimistic about AI improving business performance, up from 59% at end-2025 and 39% two years ago. Geopolitical concerns eased to 68 from 79 at start of 2026. Worries about UK productivity and competitiveness remained at 63, and energy concerns fell to 60 from 70 in Q1 2026. Deloitte UK Chief Economist Debapratim De noted the global economy weathered the Iran conflict shock better than feared, but CFOs still prioritize cost reduction and cash control.
