L&T secures mega metals orders

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its Metals & Minerals business has secured multiple mega orders from leading domestic public and private sector metals and mining companies. The orders include an 18 MTPA iron ore handling plant in India — Chhattisgarh for India's largest iron ore producer, a steel plant expansion in India — West Bengal from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA for a Navratna company, and an EPC order for a zinc processing plant from a major private sector metals producer. The combined value of the contracts falls under L&T's mega order category, ranging between Rs 10,000 crore and Rs 15,000 crore. L&T's Chairman S. N. Subrahmanyan and Senior Vice President Sriram Kumaresan expressed confidence in the company's leadership in the EPC sector and commitment to supporting India's industrial infrastructure growth.
