On July 20, 2026, Indian Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri in New Delhi to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and connectivity. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the Comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA), which has been in force for four years and has created opportunities for Indian farmers, MSMEs, and businesses. The meeting aimed to unlock new opportunities for businesses and enhance people-to-people ties, building on the strategic economic partnership between India and the UAE.
