The IPO is expected to attract significant investor interest given India's strong equity market valuations and The Coca-Cola Company's leading position in the soft drinks market. The appointment of top investment banks signals a high-profile listing that could boost sentiment for the beverage sector and Indian IPO market.
The Coca-Cola Company has appointed JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup as lead bankers for a planned 2027 initial public offering of its majority-owned Indian bottling unit, The Coca-Cola Company — Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. The appointments were made after bankers pitched to The Coca-Cola Company in London earlier in July 2026. Kotak Mahindra Bank and Morgan Stanley were also appointed as bankers. The IPO is part of The Coca-Cola Company's asset-light strategy, following its sale of a 40% stake in The Coca-Cola Company — Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages to the Jubilant Bhartia Group for about Rs 12,500 crore. The listing aims to monetize investments in India's equity markets, which offer richer valuations than many home markets. The IPO valuation and stake percentage are not yet determined. The Coca-Cola Company — Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages reported revenue of 127.35 billion India — Indian rupees ($1.32 billion) and a net profit of $36 million in 2023.
