The partnership signals growing industry commitment to decarbonisation, potentially enhancing the competitive positioning of both companies in the green logistics market. It may attract environmentally conscious customers and investors, though the immediate financial impact is limited.
Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation and PSA International signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly accelerate low-carbon solutions across the maritime value chain. The agreement combines Yang Ming's EcoSea+ green shipping service with PSA's electrified terminal and landside operations to offer customers an integrated sea-land carbon reduction package. The partnership includes a digital Book-and-Claim framework and joint maritime-land based inset token package to provide transparent and verifiable emissions reductions. Yang Ming reported a 63.32% reduction in carbon intensity from 2008 levels by end of 2025.
