This next-generation cell bridges the gap between lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, delivering 7000 mAh capacity, 340 Wh/kg energy density, and 30C continuous discharge. The launch capitalizes on a global surge in hybrid vehicle demand as BEV growth cools, with the International Energy Agency highlighting a shift toward hybrids. Molicel's cell passed the UL9540A thermal runaway evaluation and demonstrated 96% capacity retention after 1,000,000 cycles under a supercapacitor profile.
