The United Arab Emirates has agreed to establish a food cluster in India — Andhra Pradesh, India, following discussions between UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and India — Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The partnership, initiated during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026, aims to develop a value chain for exporting horticultural produce such as mangoes, bananas, and cocoa to international markets. As a first investment, Dubai-based Flour Masters International has committed Rs 100 crore to set up a food processing unit in Chittoor district. The UAE delegation included 17 companies exploring opportunities, with four to five showing keen interest. The UAE also seeks deeper technology and air connectivity partnerships with India — Andhra Pradesh.
