The acquisition strengthens Native's position in the African market intelligence sector, potentially increasing its valuation and subscriber base. It may also pressure competitors in the offline trade analytics space.
Native, an agentic intelligence company building an operating system for offline trade, announced the acquisition of Frontline Research Group, a market intelligence business serving consumer goods companies across more than 14 African markets. The acquisition adds independent market share data to Native's platform, enabling brands to measure whether commercial actions translate into real gains. Frontline's 14 African market share panels provide a proprietary measurement layer in Africa's $1.7 trillion traditional trade market. Julian E. Barnes, CEO of Frontline, will join Native as Chief Strategy Officer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
