Ocado announced a deal to build a large robotic warehouse for an unnamed fast-growing European national retailer. The automated customer fulfilment centre will use Ocado's latest technology, including 600 Series robots and On-Grid Robotic Pick system, and is expected to go live in the 2028 financial year. The deal is not expected to have a material financial impact in the current year. Ocado's shares jumped up to 12% on the news, recovering from a 13-year low after disappointing first-half results. The agreement follows a similar deal with Walmart — Asda earlier in 2026 and comes after closures of Ocado-operated warehouses by Kroger and Sobeys.
