Paras Semiconductors $644M chip facility

Airbus — Airbus Defence and Space announced that its semiconductor unit, Paras Semiconductors, will invest 62 billion India — Indian rupees ($643.79 million) to set up an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in the Indore-Ujjain region of India — Madhya Pradesh, India. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the India — Madhya Pradesh government's Department of Science and Technology to jointly establish the facility. The plant will perform advanced chip packaging and testing, turning foundry-made silicon wafers into finished chips. The project may later expand into AI chips and other advanced technologies. Managing Director Munjal Sharad Shah called it a milestone for indigenous semiconductor capabilities, and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said it supports the state's high-tech manufacturing goals.
