On July 22, 2026, the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Manila, Philippines, on the sidelines of ASEAN-related ministerial engagements. The foreign ministers of India (S. Jaishankar), Australia (Penny Wong), Japan (Toshimitsu Motegi), and the US Secretary of State (Marco Rubio) reaffirmed their commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific and unwavering support for ASEAN unity and centrality. They discussed regional challenges and ways to strengthen practical implementation of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) through cooperation in maritime and transnational security, economic prosperity, critical and emerging technologies, and humanitarian assistance. The ministers emphasized that peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific maritime domain underpin regional security and prosperity. They followed up on outcomes from a previous meeting in New Delhi and agreed to meet again later this year.
