MAIRE (MAIRE.MI) announced that its subsidiary Maire Tecnimont has been awarded a contract by Fértil Pampa S.A.U., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pampa Energía S.A., for a large-scale fertilizer complex in Argentina. The facility will include an ammonia plant and two urea trains with a combined capacity of 2.1 million tons per year, making it the largest urea plant in Latin America. The total contract value is approximately €1.3 billion, of which €140 million relates to Maire Tecnimont — NextChem's technology package. Maire Tecnimont's scope includes engineering, procurement, commissioning, and start-up. Maire Tecnimont — NextChem will provide urea technology via Maire Tecnimont — Stamicarbon, Maire Tecnimont — KT - Kinetics Technology will supply the reformer, and KBR will provide ammonia technology. SACDE S.A. will handle construction. Completion is expected in 41 months, creating over 3,500 direct jobs at peak construction. This is MAIRE's first large-scale contract in Argentina.
