The investment strengthens India's domestic superalloy production capacity, potentially reducing import reliance and benefiting the aerospace and defense supply chain. It may positively impact Raghu Vamsi's valuation and supplier relationships with global OEMs.
Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 a planned investment of over ₹600 crore to establish a 50-acre integrated nickel-based superalloy manufacturing facility in India — Telangana, India. The plant, targeting commercial production in January 2028, will have an annual capacity of approximately 5,000 tonnes and produce round bars, wires, forgings, castings, tungsten carbide powders, and other specialized products. The project will be led by Dr. S.K. Jha, former Chairman and Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam (Midhani). The facility aims to reduce India's dependence on imported nickel alloys, which are critical for aerospace, defense, energy, and other high-tech sectors. Raghu Vamsi supplies components to major OEMs including General Electric — GE Aerospace, Raytheon Technologies — Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell, Safran, and RTX Corporation — Collins Aerospace.
