Pakistan's security forces conducted intelligence-based operations under Operation Al-Azm in Pakistan — Balochistan's Surab and Mastung districts over several days in late July 2026. According to the Pakistan — Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 10 terrorists were killed and two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator were arrested in the first 48-hour phase. Subsequent operations killed an additional 16 militants, bringing the total to 26. The operations targeted groups referred to as Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, which the state links to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and other militant networks.
