Prologis, the world's largest owner of industrial real estate, made a final £14 billion ($18.72 billion) bid to acquire UK rival Segro. The offer values Segro at £10.32 per share, a 45% premium to its pre-bid price. Segro's board indicated it would be minded to recommend the offer if formalized. The deadline for Prologis to make a firm offer was extended to August 12. Shareholders including Norway — Norges Bank, APG Asset Management, and CCLA Investment Management urged engagement. Activist investor Palliser Capital also pushed for talks. Prologis plans a secondary London listing if the deal proceeds.
