The partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of tokenised equities by expanding access to international markets and asset classes, potentially increasing trading volumes and liquidity for xStocks. GTN gains a high-profile partner to showcase its infrastructure, while Payward strengthens its product ecosystem, which may positively impact both companies' valuations.
GTN, a global fintech infrastructure provider, and Payward, the developer of the xStocks tokenised equities framework and parent company of Kraken, announced a partnership on July 22, 2026 to expand the xStocks offering globally. The partnership aims to tokenise equities listed in China — Hong Kong, the UK, Europe, South Korea, and other markets, and to broaden xStocks beyond equities to new asset classes. GTN will provide execution, custody, and ledgering infrastructure for the underlying traditional assets, subject to regulatory approvals. The partnership is already live, with distribution to GTN's institutional clients to follow once licences are obtained. xStocks, launched in June 2025, has over 500 tokenised assets, $35 billion in transaction volume, and nearly 200,000 holders.
