Analysis based on 6 articles · First reported Jul 23, 2026 · Last updated Jul 24, 2026
The study highlights the growing strategic importance of India's GCCs, which may attract further investment in the sector. However, the empowerment gap could limit near-term growth if enterprises do not transfer decision rights.
ANSR and HFS Research announced the findings of the inaugural HFS GCC Generative Enterprise Market Pulse study, including the HFS Generative GCC Index, which scores India's Global Capability Center (GCC) ecosystem at 61.9. The study, based on responses from 47 GCC leaders, reveals that 83% of GCCs are mission-critical to their enterprises, yet only 17% have full decision-making and budget authority. Key insights include the shift from shared services to AI/ML capabilities, the empowerment gap, and the need for AI-native operating models and ecosystem orchestration.
