Nestlé and Platinum Equity announced a plan to create Peranel, a 50:50 joint venture for Nestlé's waters and premium beverages business. Peranel will be an independent company headquartered in Paris, led by Muriel Lienau, and will include over 30 brands sold in 120 countries, such as Nestlé — S.Pellegrino, Nestlé — Perrier, Nestlé — Acqua Panna, and Nestlé — Nestlé Pure Life. The transaction values Peranel at €4.9 billion (CHF 4.5 billion) and is expected to generate cash proceeds of approximately €3.0 billion for Nestlé at closing. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in H1 2027. Platinum Equity will bring operational and M&A expertise to support Peranel's growth. Nestlé shares closed up 2.24% on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
