The India — Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) organized a Technology Transfer Event in New Delhi on July 23, 2026, licensing four indigenous technologies to industry and commercially launching an IoT-enabled rural water monitoring system. The event, organized by India — CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO), Chandigarh, also recognized royalty received from Bharat Electronics (BEL) for licensed production of indigenous defense technologies. Three industrial monitoring technologies (MSCOPE, PU-MPPM, IPQA) were licensed to Pump Academy Private Limited, Bengaluru. The optical module and beam combiner assembly for the head-up display (HUD) for SU-30 aircraft was transferred to BEL. CSIR-CSIO Director Shantanu Bhattacharya announced the commercial launch of an Affordable IoT-enabled Water Service Delivery, Measurement and Monitoring Sensing System for Rural Deployment through Biometry Technologies Private Limited The laboratory received Rs 1.67 crore in royalty from BEL during FY26 for licensed production of military avionics technologies including HUD, drogue lights, taxi landing lights, HUD I-level tester, and boresight alignment tools. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General of CSIR and Secretary of DSIR, commended the laboratory's efforts in accelerating technology development and commercialization.
