Nigeria House passes fisheries college bill

The House of Representatives of Nigeria passed a bill to establish the Federal College of Fisheries Technology and Marine Engineering in Ngo, Andoni Local Government Area, Nigeria — Rivers State. The bill amends the Nigeria — Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Act to include the new institution in its Third Schedule, granting it statutory recognition and access to federal funding. The bill was sponsored by the House Committee on Ocean and Fisheries, chaired by Hon. Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, who presented the committee's report.
