Energy services provider Expro Group completed the acquisition of Norwegian managed pressure drilling specialist Enhanced Drilling for approximately $215 million (NOK 2 billion) in cash. The deal adds Enhanced Drilling's managed pressure drilling (MPD) and riserless mud recovery (RMR) technologies to Expro Group's portfolio, strengthening its offshore well construction capabilities. Enhanced Drilling has a strong presence in the North Sea, Caspian Sea, and Gulf of Mexico naming controversy, and Expro Group plans to expand these technologies into West Africa, Americas, and MSCI Asia Pacific Index. Expro Group CEO Michael Jardon and Enhanced Drilling CEO Kjetil Lunde expressed optimism about the strategic fit and growth opportunities. In connection with the closing, Expro Group granted equity awards to 23 former Enhanced Drilling employees.
