India — Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel visited flood-hit areas in Ahmedabad on July 24, 2026, after heavy rainfall caused waterlogging, fallen trees, and road damage. He personally inspected waterlogged societies in Ambli and Ghuma, interacted with residents, and held a review meeting with senior officials of the India — Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), police, and other departments. The AMC activated 245 pumps at 42 stormwater stations and 305 pumps at 83 drainage stations, deployed 129 desilting teams, and closed three underpasses for safety. Torrent Group staff were stationed at the control room. Patel ordered accelerated relief operations and prioritization of sanitation and public health measures. The city recorded 18.42 inches of seasonal rainfall. 169 waterlogging complaints were resolved, 107 were in progress, and 43 of 67 fallen tree complaints were cleared.
