Former India cricketer Rakesh Chauhan has been booked by Durg police for allegedly defrauding Dinkar Vishwamitra of over Rs 15 lakh by promising a fake transport contract with Jindal Steel. The FIR was registered under Section 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita following a court order by Judicial Magistrate Aishwarya Diwan. Vishwamitra invested in Chauhan's firm Govind Transport Company based on forged documents. Chauhan claims it is a business dispute and has returned some money.
