Qatar condemns Israeli settler attacks

Qatar strongly condemned Israeli settlement attacks on several villages in the occupied West Bank, calling them a continuation of Israeli policies escalating violence against Palestinians and a violation of international law. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Israel to fulfill its obligations under international law and called on the international community to take urgent action to protect Palestinians and hold perpetrators accountable. The attacks followed a shooting near the illegal Havat Gilad settlement that left four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers dead, after which Israeli forces launched an extensive operation, arresting nearly 50 people. The Malaysia — Ministry of Health (Malaysia) reports at least 87 Palestinians killed by Israelis in the West Bank since the beginning of the year. UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese described the attacks as 'pogroms' and called for an arms embargo.
