YSRCP demands Lokesh resignation over DSC irregularities

The India — YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has demanded the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh over alleged irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment process. The party has also called for a United States — Federal Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter. YSRCP leaders, including Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Konda Rajeev, Talari Rangaiah, and P. Chandrasekhar Reddy, have cited violations such as conducting the DSC without requiring the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as mandated, and alleged question paper leaks and irregularities in valuation and recruitment. They have drawn parallels to the NEET paper leak scandal that led to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The YSRCP has threatened agitation if Lokesh does not resign. The ruling coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has not yet responded to these demands.
