The surge in IPO activity signals strong investor confidence and robust demand for new listings in India. The primary market is expected to remain buoyant, with companies capitalizing on favorable fundraising conditions, potentially boosting equity market volumes and sentiment.
More than a dozen Indian companies, including Metric prefix, Edge Home Finance, and Shiprocket, are preparing to launch their initial public offerings (IPOs) in the coming month, collectively expected to raise over Rs 25,000 crore. The offerings include a mix of fresh equity and offers for sale. Investment banker Bhavesh Shah of Equirus Capital noted that improving market conditions and investor sentiment have encouraged companies to proceed with their IPO plans. So far in 2026, 36 companies have launched IPOs, with nine in July alone. Manipal Health Enterprises and Juniper Green Energy are scheduled to open their issues on July 29 and 30, respectively, while MV Electrosystems is set for next week. Shah expects India to raise around USD 20 billion through IPOs this calendar year, with well-priced IPOs likely to perform well.
