Punjab Police busts ISI-backed BKI terror module

Punjab, India — Punjab Police, in a joint operation by Counter Intelligence Jalandhar and Jalandhar Rural Police, busted an Pakistan — Inter-Services Intelligence-sponsored Babbar Khalsa terror module operated by foreign-based handlers. The key operative, Satbir Singh Kadian, was arrested in Jalandhar, and an IED packed with 1.3 kg of high explosive, along with shrapnel and ball bearings, was recovered, averting a major terror attack. A subsequent operation with SBS Nagar Police led to the recovery of an 86-P hand grenade. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS, the Explosive Substances Act, and the Arms Act. Investigations are underway to dismantle the complete terror network, including foreign handlers and local support networks.
