Siemens announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Nvidia to deliver self-verifying agentic AI workflows for electronic design automation (EDA). The new capabilities build on Siemens' Fuse EDA AI Agent system, now integrated into Siemens' Intelligence Center X, and incorporate Nvidia's NeMo Gym, Nemotron models, OpenShell secure runtime, and CUDA-X libraries. These technologies enable long-running, domain-scoped AI agents to reason, act, and continuously validate decisions against deterministic, physics-based EDA engines, improving design quality, time-to-results, tool-calling reliability, and token efficiency for semiconductor and PCB design. The collaboration spans Siemens' EDA portfolio, including Catapult, Questa One, Veloce, Solido, Aprisa, Calibre, Tessent, Innovator3D IC, and Xpedition. Siemens also extended its Solido Characterization Suite with agentic AI, reducing characterization turnaround times by over 10x and token costs by 5-10x, and introduced Solido Layout Analyzer for post-layout analysis. Additionally, Siemens extended its Questa One Agentic Toolkit with Nvidia's Nemotron 3 Ultra reasoning model to address verification challenges. STMicroelectronics' non-volatile memory team plans to test Solido Layout Analyzer. The expanded capabilities will be available in forthcoming releases of Siemens' AI-native EDA portfolio.
