The certification strengthens LG's position in the AI data center cooling market, potentially boosting its revenue from infrastructure projects. For NVIDIA, it expands the ecosystem of validated cooling partners, supporting its AI factory deployments.
LG Electronics has secured official NVIDIA certification for its 600kW Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU), validating its liquid cooling technology against over 100 technical criteria for AI Factory standardization. This positions LG as an official NVIDIA partner for AI infrastructure, reducing procurement risks for data center operators. LG offers a comprehensive Chip-to-Chiller portfolio including chillers, CDUs, and cold plates. The company plans to certify larger CDU models (1MW, 2.5MW, 4MW) and has recently secured projects with hyperscalers in North American Cobalt Inc. and the Sinar Mas data center in Jakarta, Indonesia. James Lee, president of LG ES Company, highlighted the growing need for reliable liquid cooling solutions as AI data centers scale.
