The report highlights a gap between AI investment optimism and measurable impact, which may temper expectations for AI-driven revenue growth in the TMT sector. HCLTech's association with the research could enhance its positioning as a thought leader in AI services, potentially supporting its stock.
HCLTech, a global technology company, announced the release of a new research report conducted by The Economist Group, the business-to-business arm of The Economist Group. Supported by HCLTech, the report examines how AI is reshaping competitive boundaries across the telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) industries. Based on insights from over 200 C-suite executives in the U.S. and Europe, the research reveals an AI value paradox: while 91% of organizations believe their AI investments are delivering results, only one-third can measure the business value created. The report also highlights an execution gap, with only 20% of organizations having a strategy for AI upskilling or hiring, and only 17% reporting that governance actively shapes AI systems. The report is titled 'The Value Edge: Powering the Next Era of TMT'.
