The acquisition is expected to enhance DHL's competitive position in the Baltic e-commerce logistics market, potentially driving revenue growth and operational synergies. For Venipak, the deal provides access to DHL's global network, likely increasing its customer base and international shipping capabilities, while the broader consolidation trend may lead to increased market concentration and pricing power in the European parcel delivery sector.
DHL Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Venipak Group, a leading independent parcel operator in the Baltic states, from its founder Nerijus Raudonis. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals, will see Venipak's operations in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia integrated into Deutsche Post — DHL Group, a division of DHL Group. Venipak operates approximately 800 parcel lockers and an extensive pickup-point network, serving both B2B and B2C customers. The deal strengthens DHL's presence in the fast-growing Baltic e-commerce market and provides Venipak customers access to DHL's global network of over 165,000 out-of-home points. Venipak will continue to operate under its existing brand, with its management and employees retained. DHL plans to invest in Venipak's workforce, parcel locker network, sorting capacity, and IT infrastructure. The acquisition is part of a broader consolidation trend in the European last-mile delivery sector, with other recent deals involving InPost, FedEx, Keg Logistics, and others.
