India — Government of Maharashtra has identified over 500 social media profiles and 429 objectionable posts involved in a coordinated cross-border disinformation campaign during nationwide protests linked to the India — Rashtriya Janata Dal (CJP). The campaign used AI-generated content, deepfakes, cloned audio, and manipulated videos to influence public opinion and create unrest. Technical analysis indicated that around 100 accounts were operated from outside India, particularly from Pakistan and the Middle East.
