The event is unlikely to have a significant direct impact on financial markets as it involves industry associations and advocacy rather than concrete policy changes. However, increased focus on financial inclusion and women empowerment could support long-term economic growth and banking sector stability.
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB) have called on banks to deepen financial inclusion, promote women empowerment, and support sustainable growth. During a courtesy visit to the newly inaugurated CIBN President Dr. Henry Dele Alake, both organizations agreed to collaborate on strategic frameworks aimed at closing the financial access gap and empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Dr. Alabi unveiled his 'IMPACT' vision focusing on inclusion, membership growth, professionalism, accountability, skills development, and technology. ACAMB also announced its 30th anniversary and invited Dr. Alabi to chair the gala night. The collaboration seeks to align with government priorities and enhance the Nigerian banking sector's global relevance.
