The Nigeria — Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, concluding a 20-month process that began in December 2024. Out of 573,680 applicants, 3,852 candidates were selected across three cadres: 1,275 in the Superintendent Cadre, 367 in the Inspectorate Cadre, and 2,210 in the Customs Assistant Cadre. The selection rate was 0.67%, with representation from all 36 states and the FCT. Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi announced the results, highlighting the rigorous and transparent selection process, which included computer-based tests and identity verification. Successful candidates must upload medical certificates and accept offers via the portal by early August 2026. The NCS also announced that recruitment will now be conducted annually, with the next cycle expected later in 2026. The exercise aims to strengthen the service's workforce amid reforms focused on automation and border security.
