Amarnath Yatra bus accident in Ganderbal

On July 28, 2026, a tourist bus carrying Amarnath Temple pilgrims skidded off the road at Hariganiwan in Ganderbal district, India — Jammu and Kashmir, injuring 39 pilgrims. The bus fell onto a house, which prevented it from rolling into the Sindh River. Rescue operations were promptly conducted by the India — Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), India — Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), India — Jammu and Kashmir, and the India — Indian Army.
