According to a report by Equirus Capital, India's IPO market remains resilient with 175 companies holding valid SEBI observations and 70 more awaiting clearance. Mainboard issuance hit a three-year high in FY26, driven by large-cap supply and favorable market windows. Mid-sized IPOs (Rs 1,000-1,500 crore) delivered the strongest listing gains, indicating a shift toward companies with strong fundamentals. The Media, Consumer and Healthcare (MCH) sector led fundraising at Rs 112,214 crore. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) were the largest anchor investors, committing Rs 40,396 crore, followed by domestic mutual funds at Rs 36,439 crore. The US-Iran ceasefire framework in June 2026 helped ease macro uncertainty, contributing to a rebound in IPO activity.
