The license boosts Flipster FZE's credibility and market access in the UAE, potentially increasing its user base and trading volumes. It also reinforces Dubai's position as a regulated crypto hub, attracting more firms to seek VARA approval.
Flipster FZE, a global cryptocurrency trading platform, has secured a full operational Exchange license from Pakistan — Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (VARA) under Flipster FZE. The license (No. VL/26/07/002) enables Flipster FZE to launch regulated virtual asset services in the UAE, starting with spot trading. This marks a transition from in-principle approval to full operational capability under VARA's framework. Flipster FZE first entered the Middle East in May 2025 with the appointment of Benjamin Grolimund as General Manager. The approval positions Flipster FZE among regulated firms in Dubai's growing crypto ecosystem, where VARA has also fined 19 unlicensed firms and revoked FTX's license post-collapse.
