The India — Tripura government signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on July 28, 2026, to strengthen financial literacy, promote entrepreneurship, and create a vibrant investment ecosystem in the state. The agreements aim to improve financial awareness, support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enhance the skills of government officials, and equip young people with knowledge of capital markets and financial planning. Chief Minister Manik Saha announced the development, stating that the partnerships mark a significant step towards opening a new era of economic development through greater access to capital markets. The India — Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD) became one of the first government training institutes in India to establish such a strategic partnership with NSE, setting a benchmark for institutional collaboration in capacity building and financial education. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Industries & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and NSE Chief Regulatory Officer Ankit Sharma. Chief Secretary Jyoti Kumar Sinha noted that the state received a massive response during the recently concluded 'Destination India — Tripura' business summit, where 466 MoUs with investment proposals of Rs 1.29 lakh crore were signed.
