Fortune released the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list, ranking the world's largest corporations by revenue for fiscal year 2025. Amazon topped the list for the first time, ending Walmart's 12-year reign, with $700 billion in revenue. The list featured record aggregate revenues of $43.1 trillion and profits of $3.4 trillion. U.S. companies reached an 18-year high with 141 firms, while Greater China had 122, its lowest since 2018. Technology was the standout sector with 38 companies, revenues up 20% to $4 trillion, and profits up 36% to $835 billion. Alphabet became the most profitable company with $132 billion profit. The Magnificent Seven (Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta Platforms, Tesla) generated $2.3 trillion in revenue and $608 billion in profits. Women CEOs reached a record 34 (6.8%). Newcomers included Daniel Křetínský, Galaxy Digital, Novatek Microelectronics, AMD, and Coupang.
