Canada Nickel extends Auramet loan
Analysis based on 9 articles · First reported Jul 28, 2026 · Last updated Jul 28, 2026
The loan extension provides Canada Nickel with additional time to secure financing and advance its Crawford project, which is positive for the company's near-term liquidity. However, the extension fee and warrant issuance dilute existing shareholders slightly, and the stock may see modest volatility.
Canada Nickel Company Inc. announced on July 28, 2026 that it has extended the repayment date of its US$32 million loan facility with Auramet International, Inc. from August 9, 2026 to November 9, 2026. In connection with the extension, Canada Nickel will pay an extension fee of US$856,288 and grant 5,500,000 common share purchase warrants to Auramet, exercisable at $1.52 per share for one year. Additionally, 3,500,000 previously issued warrants with an exercise price of $1.81 will be cancelled. The company is in the final stage of federal permitting for its Crawford Nickel Project and expects a construction decision in 2027.
