The promotion of Matt Rogers (comedian) to chief supply chain officer signals Gymshark's focus on strengthening its supply chain to support growth and omnichannel expansion. While the direct market impact is limited, it may be viewed positively as it ensures continuity and expertise in a critical function, potentially supporting the company's future performance.
Gymshark, the British fitness apparel brand, promoted Matt Rogers (comedian) to chief supply chain officer (CSCO), effective immediately. Rogers, who joined Gymshark in 2023 as supply chain director and most recently served as interim general manager for sourcing and supply chain, will now sit on the company's executive committee and report directly to founder and CEO Pope Francis. In his new role, Rogers oversees the entire supply chain, including sourcing, manufacturing, freight, logistics, and customer delivery. Francis announced the promotion on LinkedIn, praising Rogers' leadership and impact. Rogers brings 25 years of supply chain experience, including nearly 11 years at ASOS, where he was group supply chain director, and prior roles at House of Fraser and DHL Group. This appointment follows the creation of the CSCO role in January 2023, when Laurent Madelaine was hired from René Lacoste as the first holder. The promotion is the second senior team change in a month, following the appointment of Shaun Perkinson as chief technology officer in July.
