Telangana CM requests PMAY-G houses

India — Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi on July 28, 2026, to request allocation of 11,56,915 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) for rural families identified via the Awaas+ app. Reddy also sought inclusion of additional works under the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajivika Mission (Rural) (VB-G-RAM-G) to address deficient rainfall due to El Nino, including vegetable trellis, fodder plots, mulberry cultivation, and water conservation structures. He criticized the previous BRS government for underutilizing PMAY-G, leaving lakhs homeless. The meeting was attended by several MPs and officials.
