Andrew Ng, co-founder of Coursera, announced a new AI startup called LearnVector focused on teaching white-collar workers new skills to stay relevant as AI reshapes professional work. Coursera invested $100 million for a one-third stake, valuing LearnVector at about $300 million. The investment represents about 13% of Coursera's cash reserves. LearnVector plans to offer AI-powered personalized courses for corporations, governments, and higher education, with first courses expected in early 2027. Ng serves as CEO of LearnVector and will join Coursera's Q2 earnings call to discuss the funding. A special committee of independent directors approved the related-party transaction.
