The United Arab Emirates — Dubai United Arab Emirates — Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has awarded 237 hotels in the third cycle of the United Arab Emirates — Dubai Sustainable Tourism (DST) Stamp, recognizing their commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality practices. This marks a 55% increase from 153 hotels in the second cycle and more than triple the 70 hotels honored at the program's launch in 2023. The awards include 22 Gold, 92 Silver, and 123 Bronze certifications. Hotels were evaluated by independent third-party assessors against DET's 19 Sustainability Requirements covering environmental, social, and governance areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and employee engagement. The DST Stamp is valid for one year and aims to support United Arab Emirates — Dubai's sustainability goals, including the UAE's Net Zero 2050 strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. DET provides supporting tools like a Carbon Calculator and a sustainable tourism course via the Dubai College of Tourism.
