Saudi Arabia appointed retired Major General Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami as its new ambassador to Pakistan, replacing Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki. Al-Baqami was among eight newly appointed envoys who took the oath before Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The appointment comes amid deepening cooperation between the two allies, including a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed less than a year ago, increased Saudi investment pledges under Vision 2030, and ongoing financial support to Pakistan's economy. Pakistan also deployed military assets to Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
