On July 23, 2026, Dadvan Yousuf, Trade Commissioner of the Republic of Nauru to the United Arab Emirates, announced the launch of the Pacific Digital Assets Forum (PDAF), the first regional platform dedicated exclusively to digital assets and digital finance across the Pacific. The Forum is an independent initiative focused on research, education, and international policy dialogue. It plans to publish an annual Pacific Digital Assets Report, including a Pacific Digital Assets Regulatory Index, and to host an annual Pacific Digital Assets Conference, both debuting in the fourth quarter of 2027.
