Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the construction of 800 additional mini dams in the Pakistan — Pothohar Plateau region over three years, adding 32,000 acre-feet of rainwater storage. The decision was made during a meeting on agricultural transformation and water management. The government also approved subsidies for laser land levellers, watercourse lining, and expansion of high-efficiency irrigation systems. Separately, the CM ordered strict action against rape, child abuse, and corruption, and approved expansion of the Safe City Project.
