Check Point launches AI Network Firewall

Check Point Ltd. announced the Check Point AI Network Firewall, delivered as part of its firewall software release R82.20. The product extends AI-specific security controls into existing firewall infrastructure, enabling visibility and governance of AI traffic such as prompts, model calls, and agent interactions without requiring new hardware. The launch addresses a growing security gap as enterprises adopt generative AI tools, with Check Point Research reporting that 87-93% of organizations face high-risk AI interactions monthly and sensitive data in prompts doubled to 1 in 25 interactions. The firewall covers employee AI use, Model Context Protocol (MCP) communications, and protection against prompt injection. It integrates with Check Point's AI Defense Plane and extends central policy management to SASE and SD-WAN. The product is available immediately.
