Pakistan kills four terrorists in Khuzdar IBO

On July 30, 2026, Pakistan's security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khuzdar district of Pakistan — Balochistan, targeting militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Hind. According to the Pakistan — Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation intercepted two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) and destroyed them along with four terrorists. Sanitisation operations are ongoing to clear the area of any remaining militants. The operation is part of Pakistan's 'Azm-e-Istehkam' counterterrorism campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The ISPR reiterated that the campaign aims to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism. The incident highlights ongoing militant activity in Pakistan — Balochistan and Pakistan — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which together accounted for nearly 96% of violence-related fatalities in Pakistan during Q2 2026, according to the Center for Research and Security Studies.
