The House of Representatives Committee on Public Assets, led by Chairman Ademorin Kuye, inspected the abandoned 330kV Double Circuit Ikot Ekpene-Ikot Abasi Transmission Line Project (Lot 18T) in Nigeria — Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health, Nigeria. The committee pledged to collaborate with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to resolve funding constraints and community issues that have stalled the project for over six years. The contractor, Anita Energy, expressed willingness to return to site once outstanding compensation to landowners is settled. Community leaders, including Chief Joseph Gall Udo, appealed for the resolution of compensation claims.
